A poetic film essay about a North Jutland community that lives close to the sea and far from the political centre, narrated by Niels Hausgaard. We meet the women planting marram grass on the dunes, the mink farmer left alone in his empty barns, the circus princess and her horses, the boys racing on the beach, and the man who became famous for moving the lighthouse at Rubjerg Knude.
