The almost unbelievable story of a respected Danish HIV researcher who left his family and his high-profile career to become a Buddhist forest monk on a mountain in Sri Lanka. A Danish documentarian couple set out to film his new life, but disagreements force them to abandon the project. Years later, when the monk's now-grown son contacts them, the story takes a turn — and the film picks up where it had to stop.
