Michael grows up in a Danish housing project among first-generation immigrants and finds his voice making music with his childhood friends. When the established rapper Apollo discovers him and signs him on as his ghostwriter, Michael's career takes off — but moving up means leaving his friends and the unwritten code of loyalty behind.
